Today my co-op teacher organized a speaker to come in. Basically one of the staff members went on a mission trip to Sierra Leone. The school supported her by giving her money to purchase books and supplies for the school children she visited and our HR sent letters for the students. So all day today we were in the 6th grade history teacher’s room and we did a follow up lesson on Sierra Leone. Not a lot of work on our part, but I did learn some nice things.
I was observed today by our two writing specialists. I did teach one class and that was my Current Events class. We’ll see what they say. They are going to come back tomorrow during 8th period and let me know what they want me to do. Our school is in Improvement 1, and they are really working on their writing skills.
